Corey Michael Conners was born on the 6th of January 1992 in Listowel, Ontario, Canada.
He played junior golf together with fellow TOUR player and Canadian Mackenzie Hughe.
Conners went to Kent State University.
Conners won the 2010 Ontario Amateur and was runner-up in the 2014 US Amateur.
As an amateur he won the 2010 Toyota Junior World Cup (tie), 2010 Ontario Amateur, 2012 Mid-American Conference Championship, 2012 Gopher Invitational, 2013 Gopher Invitational, 2014 Jones Cup Invitational, 2014 General Hackler Championship (tie), 2014 Mid-American Conference Championship, 2014 Tailhade Cup (Argentina) and 2015 Lake Macquarie Amateur.
Corey turned professional in 2015 and spent several years playing on the Web.com tour until his big break in 2019.
Conners qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
He played for the International team at the 2022 Presidents Cup. He lost all four of the matches he played.
He “Monday qualified” for the Valero Texas Open by surviving a 6-man playoff. He went on to win this event by two strokes, which immediately gave him status on the PGA tour.
Corey Conners won his first PGA Tour event, The Valero Texas Open, in 2019. His total score was 268 (-20). Runner up was Charley Hoffman 2 shots behind.
He won the 2023 Valero Texas Open with a total score of 273 (-15). Runner up was Sam Stevens 1 shot behind.
Conners tied for 9th at the 2024 US Open.
