Bernhard Langer was born 27th of August 1957 in the Village of Anhausen, near Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany.
He took up golf at age 7 through caddying.
Langer turned professional in 1972 and has become one of the legends of the game. He has 100+ professional wins during his career and continues to play in the Masters every year.
In September 2018, Langer received the Payne Stewart Award.
Bernhard was the #1 player in the world when the Official Golf Rankings were first introduced in 1986 and was elected to the Golf Hall of Fame in 2001.
To combat putting yips, has used a variety of putting grips, most recently utilizing a long putter that he began using at the end of the 1996 season.
Langer joind the PGA Tour in 1985. His official earnings are 10,759,526.
Langer joind the PGA Tour Champions in 2007. His official earnings as per March 2025 were 37,609,493.
After turning 50, Langer has established himself as the most successful player in the history of the PGA Tour Champions.
