As an amateur he won the 2009 Odessa College Invitational, 2010 Omega Chemical/Midland College, 2010 Texas Junior College Championship, 2010 NJCAA District 2 Championship, 2011 Desert Shootout and 2011 NCAA East-VA Tech Regional.

Abraham turned professional in 2013 and early in his career bounced back and forth between the Web.com tour and the PGA tour.

Ancer joined LIV Golf in June 2022.

He represented the International Team in 2019, going undefeated in his first three matches and catching global attention for his play and competitiveness.

He represented Mexico at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, finishing T14.
