Aarons family moved to the US when he was three years old.
His favorite players to watch growing up were Ernie Els, Retief Goosen and Tiger Woods.
He played college golf at the University of Oregon in Eugene.
Wise was highly successful during his time at Oregon, winning several tournaments and earning numerous awards, including being named the Pac-12 Golfer of the Month and a Second-Team All-Pac-12 selection
As an amateur he won the 2014 San Diego Junior Amateur, 2014 Inland Empire Amateur, 2014 Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic, 2015 Desert Mountain Intercollegiate, 2015 Pacific Coast Amateur, 2016 Amer Ari Invitational, 2016 Australian Master of the Amateurs and 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship.
Aaron turned pro in 2016.
Aaron Wise won the 2017 Air Capital Classic with a total score of 259 (-21). Runner up was Beau Hossler 5 shots behind.
Aaron was named Rookie of the Year 2018.
