Sepp Straka was born on the 1st of May 1993 to an Austrian father and an American mother.
His family moved to the US when Straka was 14 years old.
Straka played college golf at the University of Georgia from 2011 to 2016 and turned professional in 2016.
Sepp has a twin brother, Sam, who also played on the University of Georgia golf team.
He also competed in the 2020 (2021) Summer Olympics where he finished tied for 10th.

He won the 2025 The American Express with a total score of 263 (-25). Runner up was Justin Thomas 2 shots behind.
Sepp Straka tied for 7th at the 2023 PGA Champinship. He tied for 2nd at the 2023 Open Championship.
